I couldn't agree more. We live in San Diego, muy cerca a Mexico, so I've considered a second language as a must for my children. We've introduced three: English, Spanish, and ASL. In our house, the languages blend, I was fluent at one point (dreamt in Spanish even), but went years without using it. Having children is bringing it back for me, and I teach them as much as I can, even if it's just vocabulary words.

Next year, we are keeping our fingers crossed that our daughter can get into a Spanish Immersion program for kindergarten and first grade. What a bonus, to be able to learn the language when it is still easy to pick it up, when you can still master the accent.

I think you are onto a really great thing with your biz, especially as the world gets more "global". My dad always told me that learning computers would put me ahead of the curve for my generation, I feel that way about learning a second language for our children's generation.
