I've heard that link sharing is a great marketing tool. Anyone have any advice on how to make it work successfully? How do you approach sites and blogs about link sharing? Are there are sites you've found successful that you've linked with?

This is something I would be interested in. I, too, would like information.

I have done some link sharing,...this is what i suggest
1. Use Firefox as your browser
2. Get the alexa plugin and the google plugin for fire fox
3. You want to ONLY do link exchange with sites that have a better page rank and more traffic then you
For example mompreneursonline has a PR of 5 and is ranked 228k on alexa. I would love for them to have my links!!!
But honestly i don't know how effective the link exchange is...because the content around the link is usually garbage. It is better getting your link in an article.

Hi
I tend to agree on the link exchanges and the benefit of getting them in an article instead.
However, if you do research and find high quality sites in your audience see if they have something set up already. Some might.
Just for me here, but personally I don't know how successful a campaign of emailing sites for link exchanges can be. It's just been too spammed over the years to work. If you do choose to do that though, make sure that the email you send is unique and not
I saw your site and want to exchange links as we match. I can't begin to tell you how many of them I get and they get an automatic delete as you can tell they never really even went to my site or it's poker. Love poker at parties, but it has nothing to do with my site.
Hope this helps!

Link sharing is a great SEO tool. What I have read is google some keywords that would be good for your site. See what comes up and then visit those sites. Go through the "contact us" and ask for a link. It is usually best to post their link before asking for a link. Also look at their site ranking. You want to link with sites that are higher than yours to be of real value.
