Morning everyone!!!
Does anyone have any article submission tips?
I set an article to a some of the top article sites last friday, but I haven't heard from them.
How long do they take to respond?
Do they always publish the articles?
Is there a cheap service that i should use to do the submission since the submission does take a bit of time
help please
thanks

Hi Elizabeth,
These sites can take a while to respond, so a week is not long enough to start thinking "rejection." Is you don't hear back by next Friday, you might want to send a gentle e-mail reminder...just so the article is still on the front burner, so to speak.
There are services you can use....why don't you post a question on our Mompreneurs Meeting Place to see what response you get. I know Diana Ennen has a virtual assistant who places stories and she might be less expensive than a company-run service.
Good luck,
Pat

I was actually just wondering the same thing. I'm getting a few press releases ready and I will post back and let you know how long it took to hear back, if I hear back.
Good luck!

Hi
Article submissions is definitely one of the best ways I get PR. I do highly recommend it in your marketing.
Normally the places you submit to online won't let you know if it's submitted. Some do, but not all. What I'd recommend doing is setting up a Google alert for the title of your article in quotes. That helps to show you. Also, the main keywords in the article and/or your company name.
Also, what you can do is do a google search under your keywords and see some of the sites that are accepting articles. Or do a google search for article submissions your topic to find places.
I do have a listing of Press release places and article places I'd be happy to send you if you'd like. Just email me.
Thanks!

I just started doing article submissions. I plan on targeting 10 article directories with good PR and alexa rating. A few that I chose are article dashboard, go articles, article factory, buzzle, ezinearticles, etc.
The one thing I'm unclear on is duplicate content and how that should be handled. For example, if the article is already on my site, apparently it will be considered duplicate content if placed on an article directory. I've read suggestions to change up the article a bit so that it isn't considered duplicate content. This is what I plan on doing but would like to know if that's really necessary.

Hi
Don't worry about duplicate content. You can post to as many places as you want and I do recommend posting to numerous ones, the ones with the best Google Page Rankings.
I've done extensive research on Duplicate Content cuz it comes up quite frequently. I've even seen someone from Google who did a video on it and he explained that it's AOK. The duplicate content that they want to avoid is when someone copies someone elses website.
Hope this helps!
Diana
